Re: The passing of Old Boy Ahmed Shujaan

The tragic news of Ahmed Shujaan’s passing has left the College in mourning, as we remember one of the most talented boys to have studied and played here. Head Boy 2013, Captain of Cricket and later admitted to Harvard University are some of his remarkable achievements. Loved and respected by all, he was a boy looked up to from all quarters. He was a young man with the brightest of futures and great deeds ahead of him.

This week, the flag flies at half-mast and Friday assembly will hold a minute’s silence in respect. The Ist XI dedicated its match and win against the Pakistan Women’s Cricket team on Wednesday to Ahmed. All boys stood beneath his name on the honour board before the match to hear of his achievements. Our Junior Swimming Carnival will also recognize him in its opening prayer.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family and especially his brother Seljuk (Deputy Head Boy 2017-18 and also admitted to Harvard).

May his soul rest in peace.
