1st Army Burn Hall Tent Pegging Championship 2024

This is a proud moment for Aitchison that one of our riders  (Chaudhry Ibrahim Tahir Farooq HIF-Balochistan House)  out of 128 contestants secured 2nd position in the individual Tent Pegging Tournament held at Army Burn Hall College, Abbottabad.

The tournament was held from 8th & 09th June, 2024. It was a highly contested event with the afore-said boy winning laurels for the college. There were 03 events (Individual, Pair & Section Tent Pegging). To add to it, there were 05 Riders from Aitchison who participated in the tournament. They showed grit, fervour, determination & craftsmanship looking at the contestants who had come from all over Pakistan.

We wish the AC boys the very best in future tent pegging endeavors, especially, Chaudhry Ibrahim Tahir Farooq earning silver medal in one category & also got a cash prize.

Selection for Pakistan U/21 Tent Pegging Team

This is a proud moment to announce that from Aitchison, 03 college boys out of 90 contestants have qualified to represent Pakistan U/21 Tent Pegging Team (held under the supervision of Equestrian Federation of Pakistan) in the International Tent Pegging Event. Their names are as under:-

  1. Muhammad Ishaq Khan (C21)
  2. Hamza Tariq Saadat (H2E)
  3. Hassaan Jamal Yousaf Khan (C21)

The trials were held on 30th & 31st May, 2024. Only 05 Riders are to represent Pakistan in the U/21 competition. The AC boys showed outstanding craftsmanship, commitment & resilience, thereby going trumps in selection.

Highlights of Junior School Visit to Qatar 2024 (Football & Cricket)

The Aitchison College Junior School ( K6 & E2 boys) visited Qatar from 23rd to 29th April, 2024 to participate in Stallions Junior Cricket & Football League. It was a wonderful overseas experience for the youngsters as massive crowds with full enthusiasm & support witnessed the matches. In addition, hats off to the coaches whose under guidance the boys are trained & play internal/external matches. The statistics & results of both the sports played are as under;-

It was a convincing victory with both Cricket & Football results being 4-0 respectively. In future, more overseas tours should be organized which would further help in their respective craftsmanship, big match temperament & durability.

US Admissions Counselling Department Welcomes Dr M. Shehryar Khan (Batch of 2008)

Dr M. Shehryar Khan ('08) conducted an informative session for H1 and H2 students on Surviving Your First Year of College: 5 Tips to Help You Win.   As a post-doctoral fellow at MIT and adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo, Dr Khan's advice was impactful and our students listened intently as he passed on stories of his own experiences from his university days.

Highlights of the 1st Aitchison U/15 Inter-School Athletics Championship 2024

Aitchison College, for the first time, held the 1st Aitchison U/15 Inter-School Athletics Championship 2024. There were seven schools that participated from all over Punjab. In addition, it was a very tough and competitive championship, with all athletes showing their endurance, stamina, and skill in each event with full zest and energy. Aitchison held this championship for the first time at the U/15 level, which would make it easier to find talent at the start of Senior School (Pre C-1).

Aitchison College won laurels by securing first place, with Lahore Grammar School (JT) in 2nd place, followed by Daanish School in 3rd place. Zunnurain Qaiyum, from Aitchison College Lahore, was declared the best athlete by the championship.

Ms. Amina Kamran, the esteemed Acting Principal and Headmistress of Aitchison College, graced the auspicious occasion as the Chief Guest. She also distributed medals and souvenirs at the prize distribution ceremony.
