Senior School Annual Urdu Play
Aitchison College Senior School ‘Bazm-e-Tamseel’ Society staged its Annual Urdu Drama on Tuesday, 4th of February, 2025. The society has been carrying forward the rich legacy of producing several successful plays in the past several years. In line with traditions, this year’s rendition was a resounding success. The performance was attended by students, faculty members, parents and guests from other schools.
This year’s production, ‘Laaltain’, was an adaptation of the movie ‘Jaggu Ki Laalten’. The play was a comedy-drama that explored the life of a scrap dealer turned businessman known for his sharp business tactics yet generous and compassionate. His unwavering morals and ethics set him apart from others in a world, driven by self-interest. The story highlights how, despite facing various challenges, he remained steadfast in his values and helped ‘Jaggu’, a struggling middle-class man, regain control of his life. The play conveys the importance of generosity and human kindness in a fast-moving world of status and materialism.
The ‘Bazm-e-Tamseel’ Society, in collaboration with the Urdu Department, spent a lot of time and energy to stage a perfect production. The faculty members provided invaluable guidance in refining dialogue delivery, stage direction, and emotional expressions.
The play received a lot of appreciation from the audience. The faculty and students were duly appreciated for their dedication and professionalism. The Annual Urdu Play was indeed a remarkable achievement.
