Armed Forces - the Best Pathway
On April 30, 2025, the Senior School students of Aitchison College, shortlisted for the prestigious Pakistan Army Sponsorship Programme, attended an enriching and insightful session at the Ahsan Javed Innovation Centre. The session was led by two distinguished Pakistan Army officers—Lieutenant Colonel Shahid Jadoon SB and Major Abbas SB. It aimed to provide our students with a comprehensive understanding of the academic and career opportunities within the military.
Lieutenant Colonel Shahid Jadoon SB shared his personal experiences and professional insights, offering invaluable guidance to the aspiring cadets. The discussion fostered an atmosphere of mutual respect and intellectual curiosity, with students engaging in meaningful dialogue and receiving thoughtful and experience-based responses to their queries.
A key highlight was the detailed presentation on the diverse disciplines and service branches available to young individuals after completing their A Levels or F.Sc. Lieutenant Colonel Jadoon SB elaborated on the Army’s educational support system, explaining how the Sponsorship Programme guides students from academia into specialised military roles, ultimately helping them achieve their professional qualifications.
This session not only broadened the students’ perspective on the Pakistan Army’s operational framework but also reinforced their commitment to the national service. It was a highly commendable initiative, effectively bridging the gap between academic preparation and military careers while providing students with a clear vision of their future pathways.
