Imparting Expert Rugby Skills: Coaching Clinic at Aitchison College

On 1 July 2025, the Pakistan Rugby Union organised a Rugby Coaching Clinic and Training Session at Aitchison College. The event featured the following renowned coaches and trainers who shared their expertise with the students:

  1. Muhammad Shakeel (World Rugby Trainer)
  2. Ali Hyder (World Rugby Trainer)
  3. Muhammad Aqib (Player-Coach)
  4. Ali Shaid (Player-Coach)
  5. Daud Gill (Player-Coach)
  6. Muhammad Zainulabdeen

During the sessions, the students displayed exceptional enthusiasm and resilience while refining key rugby skills, including passing techniques, scrums, lineouts, rucks, counterattacks, box kicks and punt kicks. The coaches also focused on improving conversion ratios, defensive strategies, and overall game awareness. Their dynamic training methods energised the participants, enhancing their agility, tactical understanding, and on-field decision-making. This highly valuable clinic provided students with advanced strategies from nationally and internationally recognised experts. The young athletes gained invaluable insights, further elevating their rugby proficiency.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Umer Zaman Khan (Gamesmaster & Head of Sports) commended all participants. He extended special appreciation to Muhammad Shakeel and his team for delivering an impactful and inspiring coaching session at Aitchison College.
