A Spiritual Beginning: Inter-House 'Qiraat' Competition, 25
Aitchison College, Prep School, commenced the new academic year with a touch of spirituality. On Wednesday, 10th September, the Inter-House ‘Qiraat’ competition saw school halls reverberate with a profound sense of sanctity and sacredness. It was a morning where young voices took the centre stage. Students from E2, M1, and M2 poured their hearts into their Quranic recitations, showcasing not just their memorization but also their understanding and love for the holy Quran. Each participant, in his respective age group, demonstrated incredible clarity, rhythm, and a sincerity that captivated everyone in attendance—from the esteemed judges to the proud peers.
The judges were deeply impressed, not only by the boys' meticulous preparation but by the confidence and devotion they displayed. They shared that many of our young reciters are already showing the potential to excel at much higher levels, a true testament to their hard work and the supportive environment of the school.
The event was made possible by our esteemed panel of judges; to whom we are immensely grateful:
- For the E2 Level, held in the intimate setting of the Prep School Library, we were honoured to host Qari Muhammad Saqalain (Naib Imam, Aitchison College Masjid) and Mr. Toufeeq Ahmad Ansari.
- The M1 Level competitions in the SK Hall were judged by Qari Muhammad Ataur Rehman (Islamiyat Teacher, Junior School) and Qari Muhammad Abdullah.
- For the M2 Level, also in the SK Hall, we welcomed Qari Muhammad Yaseen (Imam & Khateeb, Aitchison College Masjid) and Dr. Hafiz Shaukat Ali (HOD Islamiyat, Prep School).
This competition has truly set a spiritually enriching and positive tone for the year ahead. We congratulate all students for their beautiful recitations, and we look forward to their nurturing this talent throughout the year.
