Aitchison First Book Club Session
Our first Book Club session, on 10th of October 2025, was an inspiring and thought-provoking experience. The students engaged in a wide range of discussions, covering authors from Khaled Hosseini and George Orwell to Lane Fargo, as well as biographies of Michelle Obama, Mira Sethi, Shahid Afridi, and Imran Khan.
The conversation also touched upon important contemporary issues such as censorship, social media, and the importance of critical awareness regarding the information we consume online. The students emphasized the need to verify facts and conduct research rather than accepting everything shared on social platforms as truth. Other books discussed included works by Jeffrey Archer, Charles Dickens, and Mitch Albom, as well as Atomic Habits, Minecraft: The Island, Church of Spies, and The Art of Reading Minds. It was fascinating to observe how some students gravitated toward fiction, while others showed a keen interest in self-help and motivational literature.
Overall, the session proved to be highly beneficial, encouraging students to think beyond conventional boundaries, express diverse perspectives, and engage creatively with literature. We look forward to many more such sessions that continue to foster curiosity, reflection, and a love for reading among our students.
