Aitchison College Hosts Record-Breaking STEM Olympiad
The Aitchison College Science Society recently celebrated the tenth edition of the Aitchison College Science & Engineering Concept (ACSEC X), consolidating its status as Pakistan’s largest student-led STEM Olympiad by attracting nearly 1200 delegates from more than 50 schools across 13 cities of Pakistan. This year, the event expanded to 16 diverse categories, including Robotics, Astronomy & Aerospace, and General Sciences, engaging students through structured competitive rounds focused on practical skills and problem-solving.
The Olympiad featured hands-on challenges like three-stage water rocket launches and bridge-building, supported by comprehensive assessments. ACSEC X also served as the official national selection round for the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), highlighting its role in shaping future competition pathways.
In addition to fostering a competitive spirit, ACSEC X cultivated scientific thinking and collaboration among delegates from major cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, and Islamabad. The event provided a rich STEM ecosystem, equipping participants for advanced research opportunities and university-level engagement.
With its evolution into a national academic platform, ACSEC X exemplifies how student-led initiatives can offer impactful scientific experiences.
