A Day of Discovery: A Visit to Joy of Science Museum

The K2 learners of Aitchison College, Junior School, visited the Joy of Science Museum at Fortress Stadium, Lahore, on Saturday, 29th November 2025. The visit was primarily aimed at engaging students in hands-on scientific learning beyond the classroom. It fostered curiosity, exploration, and early scientific thinking through real-life, interactive experiences. Learners explored various interactive zones, including:

  • Hands-on experiments: Button-press activities, levers, motion, and light explorations.

  • Physics exhibits: Balance, force, magnetism, movement, and energy demonstrations.

  • Nature and environment displays: Rocks, soil, and earth science specimens.

  • Space and cosmology models: Planets, stars, and space structures through engaging displays.

  • Group discovery tasks: Learners discussed observations, shared ideas, and asked thoughtful questions.

During the excursion, learners remained enthusiastic and actively participated at each station, making the experience meaningful and enjoyable. Upon returning, learners settled in for lunch and participated in a short reflection session where they recalled key moments and learning points. Their trip review write-ups were later displayed at the barrier area for parents to view. Learners were dismissed at 12:00 pm.

The K2 trip to the Joy of Science Museum was a highly successful learning experience that connected classroom concepts with real-world science. The interactive exhibits sparked curiosity, strengthened understanding, and encouraged lifelong learning habits. Learners returned with enriched knowledge, memorable experiences, and a deeper interest in the world around them.
