Lessons Beyond the Classroom: Syed Omar Sharif Bokhari Inspires Aitchisonians
On 20th November 2025, the Syed Babar Ali Library proudly hosted an Old Boy, Syed Omar Sharif Bokhari, for an engaging and deeply insightful session on “Defining Success”. The event brought together students eager to learn from someone who has walked the same corridors and gone on to make his mark in the world. Syed Omar Sharif Bokhari, a distinguished Aitchisonian and recipient of the prestigious Entrepreneurial Leadership Excellence Award, shared not only his achievements but also the personal journey behind them. He spoke candidly about the challenges he faced, the mistakes that shaped him, and the resilience that helped him rise above them. In his talk, he emphasised that success is not a straight line; it is a process defined by persistence, self-discipline, and the willingness to adapt. He highlighted how some of his most valuable lessons came from moments of failure, reminding students that every setback is an opportunity to realign, improve, and come back stronger. The session concluded with a thoughtful Q&A Session, leaving students inspired and motivated to shape their own definitions of success with courage and integrity.
