Packed with Compassion: Junior School Students Donate for Flood-Stricken People

The Junior School successfully concluded a month-long Flood Relief Campaign, translating its core values of community service and altruism into meaningful action. The initiative involved planning, collecting, sorting, and dispatching essential supplies to flood-affected regions, culminating in a coordinated packing and delivery operation on Wednesday, 12th November 2025.

The campaign was strengthened through collaboration with a former Pakistani cricketer, also a parent of a Junior School student, who offered his ongoing humanitarian network and logistics support to ensure the safe delivery of the aid. To acknowledge the students’ participation, a special assembly was held in the Junior School Auditorium the same morning. Students with the highest contributions were invited on stage and commended by the Headmistress of Junior School (HMJS) for their generosity and civic spirit.

Addressing the assembly, the guest expressed gratitude for the school’s trust and highlighted the importance of compassion and responsibility. Following his remarks, the HMJS led the guest and his volunteer team to the Gore Block Hall, where sorted donations were arranged for packing. This marked the start of the logistical operation, carried out with support from students and staff.

Members of the Helping Hands Club and Boy Scouts, alongside volunteers from the guest’s team, jointly packed approximately 40 large bags and 33 cartons. All packaging bore only the official label: ‘With Compliments from Aitchison College Junior School.’ The relief inventory included quilts, stitched clothing for men, women, and children, dry rations, kitchen utensils, medicines, toiletries, bedding, and comfort items such as cookies, chocolates, and water bottles. The consignment was loaded into a container provided by the guest, assisted by K5 boarders in Helping Hands uniforms.

The HMJS concluded the initiative by thanking all participants and holding a reflection session with the volunteers. The visiting team shared insights from their ongoing relief work spanning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Southern Punjab, including a project to build 100 homes for displaced families. They also expressed their intent to continue collaborating with the Junior School on future community initiatives.

The campaign exemplified the vision behind the Junior School’s Helping Hands and Boy Scouts Clubs, fostering teamwork, leadership, and empathy among students. Through their direct involvement in every phase, students gained a profound sense of community responsibility and leadership in service. This initiative stands as a testament to Aitchison College Junior School’s enduring mission of nurturing socially responsible, compassionate, and active young citizens under the visionary leadership of the Headmistress, Junior School.
