Aitchison mourns the passing of former Senior School teacher Mr. Mazhar Saleem Akhtar

It is with great sadness that we receive news of the passing of Mr. Mazhar Saleem Akhtar Sahib, former teacher of the Senior School, Aitchison College.

Mr. Mazhar Saleem Akhtar served the College for over three decades and was respected as a committed educator and mentor. His contribution across all aspects of life at the College will be remembered by colleagues and former students alike. He guided and counselled hundreds of Aitchisonians for placement and admission to Colleges and Universities, thus playing a transformative role in their lives.

During his time at Aitchison he taught Economics at Senior School, served as a Housemaster for Alamgir House, was incharge of Guidance & Counselling Office with emphasis on US Admissions and performed numerous other duties with a deep sense of commitment, dedication and integrity.

On behalf of the Aitchison community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
