Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali Challenge Cup for the Best Urdu Speaker
Every year, the Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali Challenge Cup is held to determine Aitchison College's Best Urdu Speaker. It took place on Wednesday, 28th January 2026. The Bazm-e-Adab Society organised this prestigious event, which was especially significant, as it coincided with the College’s 140th Founders’ Day anniversary celebrations.
This year’s edition was further honoured by the presence of the distinguished alumni who served as judges. The panel comprised Mr. Saroop Ijaz, Mr. Talha Ijaz, and Mr. Rao Rafay Afzal, whose association with the College added great prestige and inspiration to the occasion.
After a highly competitive round of speeches demonstrating eloquence, confidence, and command of the Urdu language, Saad Ali Akbar (H1) from Centenary House was declared the winner and crowned the Best Urdu Speaker of Aitchison College for 2025–26. Muhammad Ali (H1) from Tajuddin House was the runner-up, and Ammar Samie (C1) secured third place.
The competition reflected the enduring literary spirit of Aitchison College and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing excellence in language and public speaking.
