Passing of Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa (AC 1946 - 1954)

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed alumnus, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa (ACAC 1946–1954). A distinguished Old Aitchisonian and former Governor of Punjab, he passed away in Lahore on April 10, 2026, at the age of 90.

He joined Aitchison College in 1946 and completed his education in 1954. During his time at the College, he was a member of LJ House and Godley House, and earned multiple distinctions in both academics and sports. He was an accomplished sportsman, serving as Captain of the College Swimming Team and Riding Team, and excelled in athletics, particularly in the 400m and 800m hurdles. He was awarded the prestigious title of Victor Ludorum in 1952, reflecting his outstanding all-round athletic achievement.

After graduating from Aitchison College, Khosa pursued higher studies in law, laying the foundation for a life of leadership and public service. Over the years, he held several important public offices, including Member of the West Pakistan Assembly, Member of the Punjab Assembly, Senator of Pakistan, and Governor of Punjab, serving the nation with distinction.

As an Old Boy of Aitchison College, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa remains part of the institution’s proud tradition of producing individuals who have contributed meaningfully to national life. His passing marks the end of an era of dignity, leadership, and service.
