Another Successful Year for Aitchison College with University Admissions from Around the World

With the consistent hard work and dedication of its counsellors to university admissions around the world (both nationally and internationally - except the US), we celebrate another year of excellence.

THE UK UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS 2025 AND 2026:

Our students received offers from some of the best universities both locally and internationally in 2025. More specifically, 71 students received a total of 241 offers from 53 different universities in the UK. Out of these, 19 were Russell Group universities, with Oxford, LSE, UCL, King’s, Edinburgh, Durham, and Warwick leading the group.

While the 2026 cycle of admissions is still ongoing, we are pleased to share that, so far, out of 59 students who applied to the UK this year, 40 students have already received a total of 129 offers from 36 universities. Out of these, 17 are Russell Group universities, with Oxford, LSE, UCL, King’s, Edinburgh, Durham, Manchester, Sheffield, and Warwick leading the group. Many more decisions are still awaited, particularly from Imperial College and more from LSE and UCL.

It is equally important to acknowledge admissions to universities that might not be part of the Russell Group or those labeled as top-tier universities. Our students have received offers from St Andrews, Reading, Bath, Kent, Keele, Loughborough, Aberdeen, and Newcastle, among many others. We at Aitchison College ensure that counselling is provided both for students who are excelling and, even more importantly, for those who might still be finding their footing. The university admissions process does not begin and end during the final two years. It begins as early as Grade 9 and Grade 10. We offer assistance in identifying the students’ strengths and weaknesses. Subsequently, the way they develop their academic and co-curricular portfolios eventually leads to the admission successes Aitchison College has been consistently celebrating over the years.

CANADIAN UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS 2025 AND 2026:

In 2025, 33 students applied to different universities in Canada, such as the University of Toronto, McGill, Waterloo, UBC, York, and many more. A total of 46 offers from 13 universities were received, along with CAD 350,000 in scholarships.

Following the same tradition, while the 2026 admission cycle is still ongoing, out of the 30 students who have applied so far, 24 offers have been received from 12 universities. These include McGill, the University of Toronto, Waterloo, UBC, York, Alberta, Queen’s, and Calgary, among others. A total of CAD $250,000 has so far been received in scholarships.

OTHER INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS:

This year has also seen an increase in applications to various other destinations around the world. Our students have applied to and received offers from Japan, Malaysia, and the Netherlands. Applications have also been sent to universities in Australia, China, and the UAE. There is growing interest in other countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Ireland, and New Zealand.

ADMISSIONS TO LOCAL UNIVERSITIES:

  • LUMS: In 2025, close to 100 students applied to LUMS. While almost 60% received offers of admission, 47 students met their conditions and are currently studying at LUMS. This year (2026), close to 120 students applied to LUMS, and we are awaiting decisions, which will start rolling in around mid to late April.
  • AGA KHAN UNIVERSITY: In 2025, 4 students were accepted to Aga Khan University, and we have started our new application cycle for 2026. With the academic strength of our current batch of applicants for Aga Khan, we anticipate another successful year for Aitchison College.
  • Admission processes for NUST, IBA, BNU, LSE, and several medical universities will start in the following months.

Our university admissions are a true testament to the deep understanding our students have of finding the best-fit universities for themselves, irrespective of rank or name. While top-tier universities are always an attractive target for our students, they are also made aware of different academic programmes that would serve them best. Over the years, our counselling team has managed to develop an awareness amongst students and parents about options beyond the usual university destinations. This has led to an increase in the number of applications being sent to various countries around the world, including Europe, Australia, and Asia.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our students and their families for reaching this important milestone and wish these young men the best of experiences as they start this significant journey.
