Annual English Play: A Spectacular Rendition of The Necklace
On the 7th and 8th of April, 2026, the Prep School Dramatics Society presented its latest production, The Necklace, by Guy de Maupassant, in Shamim Khan Hall. Students’ performance was nothing short of spectacular, featuring lively musical numbers and a dazzling ballroom scene that captivated the audience.
What made the production especially remarkable was the script, which had been adapted by our students themselves. They skilfully brought the story’s themes of vanity and the desire for luxury to life, ensuring the message resonated with the audience without relying on heavy or monotonous dialogue.
The cast delivered outstanding performances, and the play was met with widespread acclaim. Both parents and students praised the production, making it a resounding success.
