TLC's Second Summer School: Nuts & Bolts - Day 1
Nuts and Bolts: The Science of High Performance Teaching Summer School officially commenced, running from June 15 to June 18, 2026. Organized by the Teaching & Learning Centre, this premier professional development initiative launched with a spectacular Opening Ceremony at the historic Old Building Hall. The event was formally set in motion by an inspiring and thought-provoking Keynote Address delivered by Dr. Sabieh Anwar, setting an ambitious tone for the days ahead.
The day proceeded with high-energy, parallel interactive workshops designed to dissect the core mechanics of effective educators:
- What is the Science of High Performance Teaching: Led by Tina Hameed, this session challenged educators to evaluate the empirical evidence behind transformative teaching practices.
- Classroom Mechanics (Coherence, Routines & Transitions): Dr. Shazia Humayun provided invaluable tactical strategies to build seamless, highly functional classroom environments.
The afternoon culminated in the Senior School Auditorium with an extraordinary seminar on the "Psychobiology of Learners" by Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, offering teachers critical insights into the biological and psychological factors driving student focus and engagement.
