In Memoriam: Dr. Syed Muhammad Hassan Nawaz Shah (AC 1997)

It is with profound sadness that Aitchison College announces the tragic passing of Dr. Syed Muhammad Hassan Nawaz Shah (AC 1997), who passed away on 28 June 2026 at the age of 47.  

Dr. Hassan was a third generation Aitchisonian and attended the College from 1985 to 1997, served as Class Prefect in 1996, and was an active participant in sports. Post Aitchison he did his undergraduate medicine degree from Kazakh National Medical University,Almaty (Kazakhstan) and later did his postgraduate medicine degree from the University of Eastern Finland,Kuopio (Finland).
