In Memory of Yousuf Jamal Haswary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Yousuf Jamal Haswary (Old Boy, Class of 1952), who departed for his final abode on 12th July 2026.

Yousuf joined Aitchison College in 1946 and was later joined by his brother, Hasham Jamal Haswary. Remembered as a hardworking and dedicated student, he served as a House Prefect and was an active member of the State of Aitchisonia during his time at the College. His exemplary conduct also led to him being considered a potential Air Scout representative for the 10th Anniversary of the Air Training Corps in England. In 1952, Yousuf left Aitchison for England, where he spent eleven years pursuing his higher education and was called to the Bar. Upon returning to Pakistan, he worked in the insurance industry and later settled in Karachi following his retirement.

The Aitchison community extends its heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to those who mourn his loss. Ameen.
