Aitchison College proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its student at the International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) 2025, one of the world's leading international mathematics competitions that promotes creative problem-solving, logical reasoning and mathematical excellence.

The competition commenced with the Qualification Round, held on 15 December 2025, in which participants solved five proof-based mathematical problems covering topics such as algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics and logical reasoning. Students submitted complete written solutions online and were required to achieve the qualifying score for their respective age category to advance to the next stage.

Those who qualified progressed to the Pre-Final Round, held on 2 February 2026. This stage required participants to solve a more challenging set of mathematical problems that assessed advanced analytical thinking, proof-writing skills and the ability to apply sophisticated mathematical concepts. The round encouraged participants to demonstrate originality, precision and depth in their mathematical reasoning.

After successfully clearing the Pre-Final Round, participants advanced to the Final Round, held on 23 February 2026. This supervised online examination consisted of a series of carefully timed multiple-choice questions designed to evaluate participants' mathematical knowledge, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities under examination conditions. The final round brought together the highest-performing students from around the world, making it the most competitive stage of the competition.

Aitchison College is proud to announce the following outstanding international distinction:

Muhammad Taha Salman — Gold Honour (Top 1% Worldwide and 3rd in Pakistan)

This exceptional achievement reflects Muhammad Taha Salman's dedication, perseverance and passion for mathematics. Aitchison College congratulates him on this remarkable accomplishment and for representing the College with distinction on the international stage.
