High Performance Teaching Workshop at LUMS
As part of the Mathematics Teachers’ Professional Development Programme at LUMS, Ms. Tina Hameed, Director of the Teacher & Learning Centre led a professional learning session focused on High Performance Teaching.
The five-day programme brought together 35 mathematics teachers from public and private schools across Balochistan, providing opportunities for professional learning, collaboration and the sharing of effective practices in mathematics education.
Ms. Hameed’s session explored the characteristics and practices of an effective mathematics teacher, with a focus on creating engaging and purposeful learning environments. Participants considered practical pedagogical strategies and reflected on how teachers can use strong examples to make learning expectations clearer and strengthen student learning.
The session highlighted the importance of reflective practice, purposeful pedagogy and high expectations in creating meaningful learning experiences for students.
