Remembering Qasim Imran Ali

With profound grief and a heavy heart, Aitchison College announces the sudden passing of Qasim Imran Ali, son of Dr Imran Ali, on September 10, 2026.

Following in the footsteps of his father and great-grandfather, Nawab Sir Zulfiqar Ali Khan of Makerkotla, he remained a student at the College till 2008. A smart and promising individual, Qasim earned his BA (Hons) in Law and Economics from the SOAS University of London, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, London. After completing his education, he rapidly established himself as an accomplished practitioner at Cornelius, Lane & Mufti (CLM). He was also called to the Bar as a Barrister-at-Law of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. His sharp legal acumen and professional integrity signaled a career of limitless promise, cut heartbreakingly short.

Family and friends remember Qasim as someone with unbounded generosity and innate compassion. He was a constant pillar of support to those around him. His premature departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire Aitchison community.

The College extends its deepest condolences to Qasim’s family and all who loved him during this period of immeasurable sorrow.
