In Memory of Rai Haq Nawaz Dhudy

Aitchison College deeply mourns the passing of Rai Haq Nawaz Dhudy, a distinguished alumnus and celebrated equestrian. He was born in 1957 into the respected Dhudy Rajput family of Sargodha. He was the son of Rai Amman Ullah Dhudy and grandson of Rai Haji Ghulam Muhammad Dhudy, Chief of the Dhudy tribe and Nawab of Arar estate.

After completing his education at Aitchison, he went on to graduate from Forman Christian College. Inspired by his father, he developed a deep love for horses, which led him to take up polo at the age of 18. He went on to become an exceptional equestrian, excelling in show jumping, tent pegging, and polo. He was a prominent member of the Lahore Polo Club. As an avid wildlife hunter, he took his love for the outdoors beyond his equestrian lifestyle.

The world has lost a man whose life was deeply intertwined with his love for horses and the equestrian tradition. For those who knew him, his passing marks the loss of not only a distinguished sportsman but also a cherished presence whose passion and dedication left a mark on them.
