A Warm Welcome: Aitchison Boarding Community Dinner 2026
The Aitchison College Boarding Community gathered for its annual Welcome Dinner on September 11, 2026, at Shamim Khan Hall, marking the start of the 2026–27 Academic Session.
The evening brought together boarders from the Junior, Prep, and Senior Schools, along with members of the College leadership, House staff, and the wider residential community.
The gathering was honoured by the presence of the Principal of Aitchison College, Dr. S. M. Turab Hussain; the Bursar, Mr. Khalid Mohammed Noon; the Heads of the three Schools, Ms. Amina Kamran, Senior School, Mr. Raja Ashfaq Ahmad, Prep School, and Mrs. Fatima Mubeen, Junior School, along with Housemasters/Housemistresses and their respective Assistants.
The evening began with ‘Qira’at' and translation, followed by brief speeches from student representatives of Junior, Prep, and Senior Schools. The boys shared their boarding experiences and reflected on the friendships, support, and opportunities that are integral to the residential experience at Aitchison. The Principal then addressed the gathering, highlighting Aitchison’s legacy and the values of discipline, integrity, and respect. He encouraged the boys to make the most of the academic, sporting, and co-curricular opportunities available to them and to uphold the values expected of an Aitchisonian.
A musical performance added a celebratory note to the evening, followed by a delicious dinner and an opportunity for students and staff from across the boarding houses to interact in a relaxed setting. The Welcome Dinner provided a warm start to the New Term, strengthening connections across the boarding community and fostering a shared sense of belonging, fellowship, and House spirit.
