It is with profound sadness that the Aitchison College announces the passing of distinguished alumnus Capt (Retd) Elahi Dad (E.D.) Noon, who passed away on 29 September 2026. He was a second generation Aitchisonian who attended the College from 1948 to 1957. Captain Noon belonged to a family with deep and enduring ties to the institution and was the nephew of former Prime Minister Sir Malik Firoz Khan Noon.

In the army, he served in 24 Cavalry and 26 Cavalry and was hailed as a brave and dedicated cavalry officer. During the 1965 war, he was wounded while courageously protecting our beloved homeland. Captain E.D. Noon then took early retirement from the army. Beyond his military career, he was an accomplished polo player and a progressive farmer who embodied the finest traditions of sportsmanship and stewardship.

Aitchison College extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.
