A Chorus of Cultures: Trilingua at Aitchison College
On Saturday, 26 September 2026, Aitchison College celebrated the European Day of Languages with Trilingua, a vibrant celebration of languages, cultures, and expressions. Organised by the German Society, the French Society, and the Literary Society, the event brought together students and teachers through literature, music, and personal stories from across Europe and beyond.
The highlight of the afternoon was an engaging talk by Miss Nevenka Chadarova, a textile engineer based in Cologne, Germany. She shared her remarkable journey from a textile engineer in Germany to a speaker of five languages, offering an inspiring perspective on how curiosity, perseverance, and language can open doors to new experiences and opportunities.
The program continued with a diverse showcase of linguistic and musical talent. Aahil Nasir presented French poetry, followed by Wasiq Shehzad’s rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” From the German Society, Ismaeel Sheikh, Zaviyar Haider, and Mustefa Faisal performed “Tage wie diese” by Die Toten Hosen, bringing the audience together through music.
Trilingua celebrated the connections that language creates among people, cultures, and ideas. It was a fitting tribute to the spirit of the European Day of Languages and a memorable afternoon for the Aitchison community.
