Athletes from Aitchison College claimed three gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the International Biathle-Triathle World Championships held from 21-23 October, 2016 in Sarasota, Florida, USA.

This was Pakistan´s first appearance in the international Championship which saw participation from around 600 athletes from 25 countries. The Championship is contested in swimming, shooting and running events.

Hamza Ataullah, Abullah Amir and Murtaza Ibrahim clinched gold for the country, while Mustafa Ibrahim and Hasan Khalid won silver and bronze medals respectively.

The Pakistan Modern Pentathlon Federation (PMPF) congratulated the players for their outstanding performance in America. "It was their maiden appearance in the world’s top championship and they really displayed excellent performance. We are quite confident that our athletes will also excel in future events to earn good name for the country," the statement said.
