Aitchison wins inaugural Nawab Sir Sadiq Cricket Challenge Cup

Aitchison College hosted the opening fixture of the Nawab Sir Sadiq Cricket Challenge Cup against Sadiq Public School on the 6th and 7th of November, winning the Trophy with an impressive victory by 174 runs.

Aitchison College lost the toss and were sent in. The College scored 264 runs losing all wickets in 70.2 overs. Sadiq Public School could not chase the target and lost all wickets after 90 runs in 40 overs.

The annual fixture was inaugurated by Principal Aitchison College Mr. Michael Thomson in honour of Nawab Sadiq Mohammad Khan - Founder of Sadiq Public School and an Old Aitchisonian. “The fixture has been developed to foster a love of the game and a brotherly connection between two great schools that share much in common with the Nawab Sadiq and the values both schools place on good sportsmanship,” Principal Thomson said.

The best performers were Nail Arif Dar who scored 79 runs and Syed Faridoun Mahmood who took 5 wickets.
