Aitchison College U-16 Cricket Team Tour to Dubai


Aitchison College U-16 Cricket team played a four matches series in the UAE from 15th to 21st January, 2018. The tour was a great experience for the young sportsman providing exposure of the game of gentleman and the challenges faced during the matches. It was an ideal learning experience and a great opportunity for the boys to represent Aitchison College at international forum.  Aitchison won three matches out of four, displaying their skills, teamwork and respecting the spirit of cricket.

The following are the results of the matches played during this tour:

The first match was played against the Cricket School of Excellence (C.S.E) where batting first C.S.E scored 209 runs for 2 wickets in 25 overs. Aitchison College chasing the total could manage to score 197 runs and lost by 12 runs.

The second match was played against the Young Talent Cricket Academy. Aitchison won the toss and batting first scored 220 runs for 5 wickets in 25 overs. YTCA could only score 176 runs and Aitchison won by 44 runs. Nehaal Arif was declared the best bowler of the match bowling 5 overs giving 31 runs and taking 01 wicket.

The third match was played against the Ajman Cricket Academy. Aitchison winning the toss once again batted first and scored 195 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Ajman Cricket Academy was restricted to 138 runs and Aitchison won the match by 57 runs. Mohammad Muneeb Wasif was awarded the best batsman and the man of the match for his sensational knock of 85 runs of 52 balls.

The last and final match was played against the Pakistan Islamic High School. Aitchison bowling first restricted the opposition to 114 runs in 20 overs. Aitchison chased the target in 14.5 overs winning by 9 wickets. Mohammad Muneeb Wasif was awarded the man of the match for his elegant inning of 52 runs of 46 balls and taking 01 wicket for 16 runs in 4 overs.
