All admission tests have now been completed, marked several times by subject specialists and checked multiple times by our most senior College mathematicians. Each and every boy’s papers have undergone thorough and objective appraisal. These tests are purely diagnostic and set for our own analytical purposes. We have accepted slightly more candidates than advertised this year to accommodate as many boys as we can without compromising our teaching and learning programme.
Both successful and unsuccessful candidates will be advised by letter from the Principal. Successful candidates will receive information regarding the date and time for interview. It is still possible that changes may occur in the final admissions intake as a result of the interview process or missed interviews, and sometimes offers are not taken up or circumstances change in people’s lives. The age of each and every candidate will also be carefully checked and sent for medical verification if we suspect an error. We reserve the right to call for more candidates, at any time, from the lists if required.
In short, the College has conducted a very smooth and calm Admissions 2019-20. I wish to make the point that every boy deserves praise for taking part. It takes courage. Sadly, it will be difficult for some to be told they have been unsuccessful. We encourage boys to make several attempts at gaining entry as so often determination finally pays off. As the school motto says: Perseverance Commands Success. We anticipate completing our final list by the end of April.
