Return to School Scheduling

Dear Parents,

Aitchison College has revised its original scheduling for reopening in line with advice received from the Provincial Minister of Punjab for School Education, Dr. Murad Raas. We have also carefully considered our Cambridge curriculum commitments and met with Cambridge officials.  Discussions on course duration and make-up are continuing. While it is hoped that the below schedules are only temporary and we see a return to normal school as quickly as feasible, we have the facility to add online classes for ensuring that Cambridge curriculum is fully covered, if required. This will be a school decision. Online classes for Junior and Prep will continue up to the start of school, as will google classroom for senior work only.

For now, classes C1 to H2 will commence September 15th. Classes K6 to M2 commence September 22nd. Classes K1 to K5 commence September 30th. School will follow an alternative Day Schedule. Boys will be placed in Cycle A or B. No changes may be made to these cycles.

School will operate from Monday to Saturday in two alternate day cycles. Day boys should bring food/drinks as canteens will be closed. Heads of School will post timetables/timings on school portals by September 10th.

Cycle A will occur on (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Cycle B will occur on (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).

Please note that boarders must ideally return the day before their school recommences (refer to dates above) or earlier subject to transport availability. Please inform us if an earlier return is required. No parents or support people will be allowed to enter boarding houses. Obviously, we want boarders occupied and busy each and every day. Arrangements for alternative non-teaching days will be in place.

Parking arrangements and other drop-off/collection protocols remain unaltered. Gates will open an hour before school starts. Please do not contact the school regarding buses, as bussing is prohibited until further notice. All other SOPs remain applicable.

Warm regards,

Michael Thomson M.A., Dip. Ed., M.A.C.E
Principal
