Aitchison's First National Conference

The Behaviour for Learning Conference was a successful national gathering and a significant milestone for Aitchison College. Hosted by the Teaching & Learning Centre, this inaugural national conference brought together educators and academic leaders from cities across the country for thoughtful engagement on contemporary approaches to behaviour, learning, and educational practice.
Held as part of the College’s 140-year celebrations, the conference reflected Aitchison’s long-standing commitment to professional learning and academic excellence. Through keynote addresses, presentations, and collaborative discussions, participants engaged in meaningful dialogue and shared perspectives, contributing to a rich and collegial learning environment.
The conference marked an important step in the work of the Teaching & Learning Centre and stood as a noteworthy addition to the College’s anniversary programme, reinforcing Aitchison’s role as a forum for educational dialogue and exchange at a national level.

Young Mind, Big Ideas: Junior School Makers' Fair 2026

The Junior School Makers’ Fair was a vibrant celebration of creativity, curiosity, and learning. The displays showcased students' work across various subjects, reflecting their hard work, imagination, and academic growth. From art and craft to science projects and written expression, each exhibit highlighted the skills developed through hands-on learning and guided exploration.

This exhibition provided students with a platform to express their ideas confidently and allowed visitors to witness the learning process beyond textbooks. It was a proud moment for the school community, celebrating student effort, teachers' guidance, and the joy of learning.

Little Hands, Big Dreams to Entrepreneurship

The Skills Expo was held on Friday, 30th January, 2026. It was a vibrant celebration of creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit. Students proudly set up stalls showcasing their skills, talents, and handmade creations, with enthusiastic support from their parents. From artwork and crafts to innovative projects, each stall reflected the students’ hard work and imagination.

A special highlight of the expo was that students’ work was displayed for sale, giving them a valuable opportunity to develop real-world skills such as communication, teamwork, and basic entrepreneurship. Parents played an active role in guiding and encouraging their children, making the event a true partnership between home and school

Balochistan Civil Services Academy Delegation Visits Aitchison College

A delegation led by Dr. Hafeez Jamali, Director General, Balochistan Civil Services Academy (BCSA), visited Aitchison College, accompanied by 48 Assistant Commissioners and 4 staff members, for an Archives tour.
The Principal of Aitchison College, Dr. S. M. Turab Hussain, briefed the delegation on the history and legacy of Aitchison College.  It was followed by a guided visit to the Archives, showcasing historical records and memorabilia. The delegation also toured key areas of the campus, gaining insight into the college’s rich heritage and dynamic academic environment.

Badges of Leadership

Aitchison College Senior School welcomed students back from the Winter Break with a special assembly held on Monday, 19th January 2026.
The Headmistress, Senior School, Ms. Amina Kamran, took the opportunity to announce the newly appointed Student Council. Following the announcement, the council members were invited to the stage, where they received their official badges from the Deputy Headmaster, Dr. Muhammad Kamran.

Bazm-e-Adab Society Hosts Urdu Declamation Competition

The Bazm-e-Adab Society of Senior School, Aitchison College, successfully organised the Inter-House Urdu Declamation Competition on Monday, January 19, 2026. The event celebrated the richness of Urdu language and provided a platform for our students to demonstrate their oratory skills, confidence, and expressive depth.

The competition was conducted in two categories—Senior and Junior. The students enthusiastically participated in the competition. They captivated the audience with well-articulated speeches, showcasing clarity of thought, linguistic finesse, and deep appreciation for Urdu literature.

Race of Resilience: Aitchison College, JS Cross Country Race

With inspiring determination and vibrant school spirit, Aitchison College Junior School's Whole School Cross Country Race 2026 was a memorable celebration of endurance and sportsmanship.

Held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the ACOBA ground, students from K1 to K6 participated with great enthusiasm and energy. The challenging course tested their stamina and resilience, and every runner demonstrated commendable effort and confidence.

While medals were awarded to the winners, each participant earned well-deserved applause. The event beautifully reflected that true success lies in courage, perseverance, and the will to finish strong.

Bulls-Eye Excellence: Aitchison Marksmen Claim Top Three Positions

Aitchison College, Lahore, proudly secured a remarkable victory in the ACOBA Rifle Shooting Fixture 2025–2026, held on 23rd January 2026 at the College Shooting Range. Demonstrating exceptional precision and composure, the Aitchison Rifle Shooting Team claimed all top three positions in the competition. Under the able leadership of Mr. Hamza Naveed Malik (Incharge Rifle Shooting), the team delivered an outstanding collective performance:

Eloquence Sways: Senior School Students Shine at the Malik Chiragh Cup

The Malik Chiragh Challenge Cup was held with great enthusiasm and distinction on January 20, 2026, at Aitchison College, showcasing the prowess of Senior School students in intellectual confidence, eloquence, and critical thinking.

A total of 11 speakers from H1 and H2 competed in the final round, delivering well-researched and compelling speeches on a range of thought-provoking topics. The competition was intense and fiercely contested, with participants demonstrating exceptional clarity of thought, confidence, and persuasive skill. The standard of speaking throughout the event reflected the College’s strong academic and co-curricular traditions.

The event was judged by four distinguished Aitchison Old Boys — Mr Hashaam Riaz Sheikh, Mr Adil Bandial, Mr Ali Zafar, and Mr Haider Azhar Malik — whose insightful feedback and fair evaluation added immense value and credibility to the competition. Their presence also inspired the young speakers, reinforcing the enduring bond between the College and its alumni.

The competition was honored by the presence of Principal Aitchison College, Dr S.M. Turab Hussain, Headmistress of the Senior School, Ms Amina Kamran, senior school teachers, and a large number of students, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and academic excitement.

The Malik Chiragh Challenge Cup continues to hold a significant place in the College’s co-curricular calendar, promoting public speaking, confidence, critical inquiry, and leadership skills among students. Events such as this play a vital role in nurturing articulate, informed, and responsible young individuals, in keeping with Aitchison College’s commitment to holistic education.

The 2026 edition of the Malik Chiragh Challenge Cup was a resounding success, marked by high standards, spirited competition, and an engaged audience — truly a celebration of youthful intellect and expression. 

In the Mother's Love: Persian Room Unveiled in Memory of Syeda Mubarak Begum

On Saturday, 3rd January 2026, Syed Babar Ali (OBE), a renowned philanthropist, businessman, founder of the Lahore University of Management Sciences, and the most senior member of the Aitchison College Governing Body inaugurated the Persian Room at Aitchison College Prep School.

The ceremony was attended by the worthy Principal, Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain, members of the teaching faculty, students and family of Syed Babar Ali Sahib. The room is dedicated to fostering a love for Persian language and is named in honour of the late Syeda Mubarak Begum, mother of Syed Babar Ali Sahib. The event celebrated her lifelong passion for Persian heritage and profound contributions to its preservation.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Syed Babar Ali, highlighted the enduring importance of classical languages and the vital role cultural traditions play in shaping our future.

A particularly moving moment was the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by Syeda Mubarak Begum’s great-grandchildren: the children of Mubarik Imam (daughter of Syeda Henna Babar Ali); the children of Zehra Ali (daughter of Syed Hyder Ali); and the child of Gauhar Afroze Ali (daughter of Syed Hyder Ali). It was indeed a significant day in the annals of Aitchison College, Prep School.  

Rackets Rivalries, and Remarkable Table Tennis Talent at Aitchison

Aitchison College once again hosted the 3rd Aitchison Inter-School Table Tennis Championship 2025 on 18 and 19 November 2025.  Sixteen top schools, comprising thirty-six contestants, participated in the championship. Here are a few prominent participating schools:

The championship started with great enthusiasm as spectators chanted slogans for their participating players, who delivered exciting performances for the spectators. Aitchison College Blooms with Victory at the Prestigious Flower Show

The Chrysanthemum Flower Show 2025 was held on December 3, 2025, at Jillani Park, Lahore. It drew large numbers of flower enthusiasts and nature lovers. Organised by the Institute of Horticultural Sciences, Lahore, the exhibition featured a vibrant showcase of chrysanthemum varieties and ornamental plants, celebrating the colours, beauty, and diversity of floriculture. The Garden and Grounds team of Aitchison College has blossomed into champions, winning first place in the following categories:

  3. Jillani Park, 1st Prize

The winning team was given a Rs. 15,000 cash prize for the gardeners.
