Robotic Championship at Prep School
Aitchison College, Prep School successfully held the Inter-School Robotics and Programming Competition. This exciting event featured two main categories: Robotics Projects using Arduino and Programming in any Programming Language. More than twenty-five best teams from various schools participated showcasing their skills. The competition provided them a platform to exhibit their talents and learn from one another. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the participants were truly contagious. In the end, the winners were given away shields and trophies.
Artistry Unravelled
The Art & Design Department, Prep School held an art workshop on February 27, 2025, at Shamim Khan Hall. It was conducted by Taimoor Khan Mumtaz, an iconic architect, artist, and former Aitchisonian. The workshop was designed for Grade E2 and M1 students and focused on the theme "Number, Geometry and Cosmology ". During the workshop our students explored mathematical patterns, geometry, and how these ideas connect to art and architecture. Through discussions and hands-on activities, they learned about geometric principles and their role in designs. Since Geometric Design is part of our Art & Design syllabus, this workshop provided our students valuable insight and deeper understanding of these concepts. They were encouraged to think creatively and critically while understanding the link between numbers, shapes, and artistic expression. The workshop went extremely well.
Junior School Sports Day, 2025
The Junior School Sports Day was successfully held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the MCG (Main Cricket Ground). Ch. Khan Muhammad Ashraf, an esteemed Old Aitchisonian and distinguished business leader known for his expertise in finance, operations, and strategic management, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was warmly received by the Principal, Dr. Syed Turab Hussain, the Headmistress, Mrs. Fatima Mubeen and other members of the College Management. Our young athletes displayed enthusiasm and competitive spirit. The event was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship, featuring an exciting lineup of activities, including individual races, relay races, and energetic aerobics performances by Lower Primary and Upper Primary learners. Our students showcased their dedication and determination, making the day a true testament to their hard work and perseverance. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, cheering, and camaraderie, creating a truly memorable experience for learners, teachers, and parents alike. A large number of spectators witnessed the show and appreciated it immensely.
Rivalry on-field, camaraderie off-field: Founders' Day Sports

The most anticipated Founders’ Day Sport, 2025 was celebrated on Sunday, 23rd March 2025. A flurry of activities was arranged on the occasion. Reveille of the bugles heralded the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr Arshad Nadeem, the famous Olympic javelin athlete. The College Equestrians welcomed him. In the horse-driven College Buggy, he looked regal. He was warmly welcomed by the worthy Principal Dr S.M. Turab Hussain, the Bursar, Mr Khalid M. Noon, the Heads of three Schools and other dignitaries. After seeking permission from the Chief Guest, the Head Boy of the College led the March Past of all Houses. Different sports competitions ranging from athletics, cricket ball throw, ladies' musical chairs, staff tug of war, and tent-pegging followed. Many records were smashed and new ones were made.
Sports Day is the great fete of the year attracting families and old Aitchisonians from Pakistan and abroad. The MCG (Main Cricket Ground) looks stunning. Tents, and tepees with buntings stand stratified. Here everything is available from the College’s Souvenirs to the hot cup of tea, and coffee with cookies. In the end, the winners were given away the premium cups, medals and trophies. The evening ends with a tea treat arranged on the verdant lawn of the principal’s residence.
Aitchison College Celebrates its 139th Academic Day

On Saturday, 22nd February 2025 Aitchison College celebrated its 139th Academic Day in the Amphitheatre. The occasion was graced by the exalted presence of the Chief Guest of the Supreme Court, Honourable Yahya Afridi, a prominent school alumnus. The programme commenced with a note of spirituality, as one of the students recited the holy verses from the Quran. The worthy Principal Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain read a comprehensive Annual College. He enumerated the college’s illustrious achievements and touched upon the future plans. He lauded the teachers and students for producing exceptional results and faring remarkably well in all fields: academics, sports and co-curricular. The Honourable Yahya Afridi in his touching speech, nostalgically recalled his exciting school days and mentioned how Aitchison shaped him into a fine gentleman. Then came the most anticipated moments of the event. The Principal announced the most coveted medals of the year. These distinctions went as such:
In the end, the worthy Chief Guest had a group photograph with the Outgoing Bach of HSC 2. With the singing of the School Song and the National Anthem, the function ends leaving behind the most cherished memories.
Mini-Sports Celebrations
On Friday, 2025, Aitchison College celebrated Mini-Sports at the MCG (Main Cricket Ground). Mr Fawad Ahmad Mukhtar, a member of the Board of Governors, was the Chief Guest. The Principal Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain, the Bursar, Khalid M. Noon and the Heads of Schools welcomed the Chief Guest. Different sporting events were successfully held. In which, the students enthusiastically participated. In the end, the Chief Guest gave away medals, trophies and cups to the winners.
Aitchison College Cricket Team Shines against Warwickshire County Club
On Saturday 15th February, 2025 Aitchison College Cricket team played a friendly cricket match against Warwickshire County Club . The College team won the toss and put Warwickshire Cricket County Club to bat first. WCC scored 219 all out in 44.2 overs with 04 balls to spare. Their number three batsman Mr. Levi Gekis scored a brilliant century by dispatching the ball in all corners of the ground. He was supported by Jake Lintott who chipped in with thirty-five runs. A few others also chipped in. Our players bowled extremely well. In reply, our run-making machine, Usman Khan made an unbeaten century (126*) which was crucial in clinching the match away from the visitors. He was supported in the middle order by Harib Ahsan (23), Mahad Alam (13) and Zunnurain (17), thereby packing the match in 42.4 overs.
The Principal, Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain, the Bursar, Mr. Khalid Noon, Games Master and Head of Sports Mr. Umer Zaman Khan, Staurt Cain, CEO Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Paul Greethers WCC-Coach and other respected dignitaries were in attendance. They praised both teams for their brilliant performance. In the end, souvenirs and gifts were exchanged.

Foreign Language Festival at the Preparatory School
On 15th February 2025, the Annual Foreign Language Festival of the Preparatory School was successfully conducted. Chinese, German, French and Arabic departments showcased their cultural and linguistic traditions during the festival. It was a resounding success, offering students, teachers, and guests a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritages of different nations around the globe. Each stall represented a different region and showcased the diverse culture. Guests, including attendees from various schools, were treated to an immersive sensory experience, where the stunning décor, authentic cuisines, and impressive performances came together to showcase the beauty of these cultures.
Rendezvous of Artists
Over the years, the Annual Art Exhibition at Aitchison College has become one of the most coveted events of the year. This year, it took place on Friday, 21st February 2025, in the Aitchison College, Main Building. Fakir Syed Aijazuddin Sb OBE, our former Principal, master historian, academic, and business executive, graciously honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest. The hall was thronged with art lovers and dignitaries of the town, who took immense interest in the masterpieces created by our students and appreciated them a lot.

College Team Humbled ACOBA in Hockey Fixture
A thrilling hockey match was played between the College Hockey Team vs Aitchison College Old Boys’ Association. Although our old boys flamboyantly began the match, yet they were unequivocally outmaneuvered by the AC young guns. Our young team displayed better endurance and stamina. The AC Team played brilliantly as our Forwards, Centre-Halves, Goalkeeper and Defense performed remarkably in many ways. The final score was 5-1 Goals in favour of Aitchison College Team. ACOBA Cricket Returns to Form
The College Cricket team and ACOBA (Aitchison College Old Boys’ Association) played their annual cricket fixture. Old boys won the toss and put Aitchison to bat first. The AC Team scored 232 for 3 wickets in their stipulated 35 overs. Usman Khan and Daud Tauqir Rana showed brilliant performance supported by a few others who chipped in with single and double digits’ score.
In reply, the ACOBA managed to cross the score with the loss of 8 wickets in the very last over. The spectators and families of the Old Boys and AC team watched the match and appreciated the game. Our worthy Principal Dr. S. M. Turab Hussain also witnessed the match in the company of the Sports and the College Management.
