College Team Humbled ACOBA in Hockey Fixture
A thrilling hockey match was played between the College Hockey Team vs Aitchison College Old Boys’ Association. Although our old boys flamboyantly began the match, yet they were unequivocally outmaneuvered by the AC young guns. Our young team displayed better endurance and stamina. The AC Team played brilliantly as our Forwards, Centre-Halves, Goalkeeper and Defense performed remarkably in many ways. The final score was 5-1 Goals in favour of Aitchison College Team. In the end, our worthy principal, S. M. Turab Hussain praised both the teams and gave away medals, trophies and souvenirs.
ACOBA Cricket Returns to Form
The College Cricket team and ACOBA (Aitchison College Old Boys’ Association) played their annual cricket fixture. Old boys won the toss and put Aitchison to bat first. The AC Team scored 232 for 3 wickets in their stipulated 35 overs. Usman Khan and Daud Tauqir Rana showed brilliant performance supported by a few others who chipped in with single and double digits’ score.
In reply, the ACOBA managed to cross the score with the loss of 8 wickets in the very last over. The spectators and families of the Old Boys and AC team watched the match and appreciated the game. Our worthy Principal Dr S. M. Turab Hussain also witnessed the match in the company of the Sports and the College Management.

Football Fixture Aitchison College VS ACOBA
It was a fast paced football match. The boys of Aitchison College Team played brilliantly in the First-Half as the Goalkeeper saved some inlet attacks by the Old Boys. During the process, our boys on a rebound were successful in notching up a penalty, thereby, going one up in the First Half of the match.
In the Second-Half Aitchison College Defenders and Midfielders were at the top of their game. They magnificently maneuvered and counter attacked which resulted in another goal. Eventually they clinched the match by 2-0 goals. Both teams played brilliantly. Goal Scorers:

In the Good Books: Senior School Annual Book Fair
The Senior School Annual Book Fair 2025 was held on 11th and 12th, of February 2025 at the Syed Babar Ali Library. It was a vibrant celebration of literature that captivated students, faculty, and visitors. Renowned publishers and booksellers showcased a diverse range of world-class publications, from fiction and nonfiction to academic resources, catering to all interests. Students enthusiastically explored the stalls, discovering new authors and genres that ignited their curiosity. The lively atmosphere buzzed with discussions about favourite books and recommendations, fostering a shared love for reading. Special discounts allowed students to expand their libraries, ensuring the fair's impact extended beyond the event. More than just a book fair, it celebrated knowledge, creativity, and the transformative power of literature, inspiring a lifelong passion for learning and reminding everyone of the joy and enrichment books bring to our lives.
Extending the Helping Hands - Revival of Boy Scouts Program at Junior School
On Tuesday, 4th February 2025, the Junior School inaugurated the Junior School Helping Hands Boy Scouts. It is a significant initiative aimed at instilling leadership, discipline, and service among young learners. The event was graced by the Principal Aitchison College, S.M. Turab Hussain as the Chief Guest. In attendance remained the Secretary Punjab Boy Scouts, the Headmaster of the Prep School, the Headmistress of the Senior School, Senior School Prefects, and the Director of the Teaching and Learning Centre. The Headmistress, Junior School, staff and the students warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. The ceremony commenced with the unveiling of the inauguration plaque by the Principal, marking the official revival of the Boy Scouts program at the Junior School. In a display of discipline and unity, Junior Leaders 1 and 2 gracefully escorted the Principal, the Headmistress, and guests to the stage, where the entire school, from K1 to K6, stood attentively for the school assembly.
After recitation from the Holy Quran with translation, the formal investiture of the Boy Scouts followed, with the Principal adorning two K6 students with Boy Scout neckerchiefs, symbolising the commencement of their leadership journey. The teachers then presented neckerchiefs to all K5 and K6 learners, reinforcing the values of responsibility and camaraderie. In his address, the Principal commended the Headmistress Junior School for planning and organising such a fabulous event. He encouraged students to embrace the values of the Boy Scouts and expressed his pride in being part of this initiative. He emphasised the importance of teamwork, service, and leadership, while looking forward to the future achievements and contributions of the newly inducted scouts. The Secretary of Punjab Boy Scouts also extended his congratulations and reaffirmed his unwavering support for the school’s scouting program. Recognizing dedication beyond the student body.
The ceremony also honoured four of the custodian staff from the Upper Primary and Lower Primary sections. The Headmistress and the Principal presented cash prizes to high-performing staff members, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the school community. The event concluded with an address by the respected Headmistress, Junior School, who expressed her gratitude to the Principal, guests, staff, and students for their collective efforts in making the occasion a success. She encouraged the learners to uphold the Boy Scouts’ principles of service and integrity, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible and community-driven individuals.
Junior School, 2nd Teacher-Parent Meeting, 2025
The second Teacher-Parent Meeting of the Junior School was successfully held on 6th and 7th February, 2025. It provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful discussions between teachers and parents. The event aimed to strengthen communication and collaboration between teachers and taught ensuring the best academic and personal development of our learners. During the meeting teachers shared detailed insights into learners’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. Parents objectively aired their aspirations, as well. The interactive sessions fostered a supportive environment, reinforcing the shared commitment to learners’ success. The overall atmosphere was positive, with productive discussions and constructive feedback exchanged. Parents appreciated the teachers’ dedication and guidance, while teachers valued the parental involvement and support. The meeting concluded on a high note, with mutual understanding and commitment to continued collaboration. The Junior School extends its gratitude to all participants for their engagement, making it a valuable experience for everyone involved.
Senior School Annual Urdu Play
Aitchison College Senior School ‘Bazm-e-Tamseel’ Society staged its Annual Urdu Drama on Tuesday, 4th of February, 2025. The society has been carrying forward the rich legacy of producing several successful plays in the past several years. In line with traditions, this year’s rendition was a resounding success. The performance was attended by students, faculty members, parents and guests from other schools.
This year’s production, ‘Laaltain’, was an adaptation of the movie ‘Jaggu Ki Laalten’. The play was a comedy-drama that explored the life of a scrap dealer turned businessman known for his sharp business tactics yet generous and compassionate. His unwavering morals and ethics set him apart from others in a world, driven by self-interest. The story highlights how, despite facing various challenges, he remained steadfast in his values and helped ‘Jaggu’, a struggling middle-class man, regain control of his life. The play conveys the importance of generosity and human kindness in a fast-moving world of status and materialism.
The ‘Bazm-e-Tamseel’ Society, in collaboration with the Urdu Department, spent a lot of time and energy to stage a perfect production. The faculty members provided invaluable guidance in refining dialogue delivery, stage direction, and emotional expressions.
The play received a lot of appreciation from the audience. The faculty and students were duly appreciated for their dedication and professionalism. The Annual Urdu Play was indeed a remarkable achievement.
Art with Heart: Prep School Art Auction
On February 3rd, 2025, the Art Department, Prep School held its first-ever Silent Art Auction. It featured the artwork of eleven selected students aged eleven to fourteen. More than a show of talent, the event aimed to support underprivileged children and raise funds for a charity. Our students expressed their deep emotions and social concerns, turning their creativity into compassion. This milestone event highlighted our young artists' undying generosity and artistic excellence.

On Friday, 3rd of February,2025, the Prep School organised the Annual Art Exhibition in Shamim Khan Hall. Over two hundred and ninety young artists showcased their creative work. This vibrant and inspiring event drew a large audience. The worthy Principal S.M.Turab Hussain was the Chief Guest. The exhibition showcased an impressive variety of artwork, ranging from detailed paintings and intricate sculptures to digital designs and handcrafted pieces. Students poured their imagination and effort into their creative work, making the exhibition reflect their talent and dedication. It was wonderful to see their artistic voices come to life. A few of the remarkable artistic pieces reminded one of Aristotle, who once said: "Art completes what nature cannot bring to finish."
4th Annual Mathematics Quiz Competition at Prep School
The Department of Mathematics, Prep School successfully organised its 4th Annual Mathematics Quiz Competition on 23rd January 2025. It was an engaging and intellectually stimulating event. It aimed at fostering a passion for Mathematics among our students. The competition was conducted in two rounds, with a Written Quiz on 23rd January 2025, selecting 36 students from E2, M1, and M2, who were then grouped into twelve teams for the Final Round on 4th February 2025 at the Prep School Library.
The final round featured a General, Buzzer, Rapid Fire, and Audio-Visual Round, making for an intense and thrilling competition. The top three positions were announced. The event was a grand success, inspiring students and celebrating their mathematical skills. It is crucial in developing students' analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills. Events like these are meant to enhance our students’ academic excellence. Such competitions also boost their confidence in preparing students for future challenges in their educational and professional lives.
Aitchisonians Surely Shine
Aitchison College hosted its routine General Assembly on February 4, 2025. It was to celebrate our students' achievements reinforcing values of selfless leadership and excellence. The event featured an inspirational speech from the worthy Principal, S.M. Turab Hussain. The boys were given away academic and extracurricular excellence awards in the presence of their parents. The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment to academic distinction and character-building, reflecting Aitchison’s ethos.

On 31st January 2025, the students of Prep School staged their annual English play 'All Summer in a Day’ adapted from a famous short story by Ray Bradbury. The short story is part of our E2 English literature. Based on the futurist theme, when human beings disconnected from Mother Nature will march to other planets for their very existence. The setting of the play is the planet Venus and life there is forever raining. In this perpetual moist world, nobody imagines the rainbow of the sun, but Margot, who is a young girl. She vividly remembers the sun from her time on Earth, unlike the other children. Her dream one day comes true.
Our students exhibited stunning performance on the stage. Their true passion for theatre with wonderful songs, a riveting plot, beautiful setting, costumes, and powerful dialogues written by themselves under the able guidance of their teachers made it a very good play, indeed. It was a truly spectacular performance
