The Senior School Boarders attend Dr. Tarunjit Singh Butalia's Lecture
On Friday, 8th November 2024, eleven boarders from LJ, Godley, and Kelly Houses visited the Punjab Public Library to attend a lecture, titled: “Revisiting Map of Lahore Fort”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Tarunjit Singh Butalia, PhD, a renowned historian and an Associate Professor at Ohio State University, USA. It was an enriching experience for our students, offering them fresh perspectives on the Lahore Fort through digital maps. The event, organised by the Walled City of Lahore Authority, provided them with a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of history and modern technology.
Our former Principal, Fakir Syed Aijazuddin Sahib, was also in attendance and graciously shared some of his cherished memories with the boys. He expressed his delight in meeting with our students and warmly encouraged their participation in such intellectually stimulating events.
Dr. Tarunjit also spoke about his deep familial roots in Lahore and his long-standing connections with Aitchison College. He proudly noted that his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all Aitchisonians before Partition.
Our students undertook the event under the able superintendance of Mr. Iqbal Haider the Head of co-curriculars and Mr. Muhammad Tariq, English Department.
Aitchison College Colts Visit Chenab College, Jhang
Aitchison College Colts visited Chenab College, Jhang from 6th to 7th November 2024 to play their annual sports fixture. The results went as such:

The Senior School held its Inter-House Photography Competition on 29th October 2024. The House boards were adorned with photographs centred around the theme of "Reminisce”. Students reflected on their fond memories with friends, recalling the activities and experiences they enjoyed throughout their time at the school. These reflections also highlighted their personal growth and the lessons learned, showcasing how far they have come and the changes they have embraced along the way.

The Aitchison College Language, Literary, and Cultural Festival (ACLLCF) 2024 attracted over six hundred delegates from Lahore and beyond. This monumental celebration of language and culture brought together students and enthusiasts, creating an atmosphere of intellectual and creative exchange on an unprecedented scale.
With six vibrant wings — English, Urdu, German, French, Islamic, and History — ACLLCF 2024 offered a rich and diverse range of activities catering to varied interests. Participants engaged in poetry, essay writing, storytelling, and creative games like Pictionary and Jenga, making it a true festival of ideas and expression. The festival also included an Urdu Ghazal competition, with extraordinary displays of pure talent. Delegates gathered around the courtyard, enjoying the performances. ACLLCF 2024 showcased Aitchison College’s commitment to promoting linguistic and cultural diversity, providing a unique platform for young minds to connect with literature, history, and philosophy. It stood as a testament to inspiring and celebrating creativity, drawing talent from nationwide to explore and deepen their appreciation for language and culture.
The Prep School, English Debates
On the 31st of October 2024, English Department of Aitchison College, the Prep School organised the Annual Inter-House Debating Competition. This event brought together some of the brightest speakers from each House, who engaged themselves in a spirited battle of ideas through words. Children with the Hearts of Gold - Annual Urdu Play

The Prep School staged its annual Urdu play on November 1st, 2024 in the Amphitheatre. The Principal, S.M. Turab Hussain and his wife were the chief guests. The play beautifully dramatised the moral ails of our society. Hypocrisy, dishonesty, deceit and deception are rife in our society, leading us nowhere. Children being angelic and pure speak the truth. The message of the play was well-received. Urdu Department and students deserve all appreciation for such a stellar performance.
Teacher-Parent Meeting at the Junior School
The session's first Teacher-Parent Meeting (TPM) was successfully conducted on October 17th and 26th, 2024. Such meetings are valuable platforms for direct communication between parents and teachers. This productive session enabled a collaborative exchange of educational strategies and insights focused on supporting each child’s academic growth. The teachers shared useful approaches with parents. The meeting concluded on a positive note, further reinforcing the Parent-School partnership.
Saddle up for Rasulpur and Col Aslam Niazi Challenge Cups
These most anticipated riding competitions were held on October, 30th 2024. Our students showed their riding proficiency in various categories in front of appreciative spectators. The Principal of Aitchison College Dr. S. M. Turab Hussain was the Chief Guest and gave away the prizes to the winners. The results:

Aitchison College, National Junior Tennis Championship, 2024
The 7th Aitchison College National Junior Tennis Championship 2024 was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, 15th October 2024, at the college. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent guests and talented young players nationwide. Dr S. M. Turab Hussain, the Principal of Aitchison College, Mr Umer Zaman Khan, Games Master and Head of Sports at Aitchison, Executive Vice President of Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA), and other dignitaries graced the occasion. In his speech, the Principal emphasised the significance of hosting such significant events at the grassroots level. Mr Sajjad Rasool acted as a referee and Mr Faheem Siddiqui oversaw the proceedings as the coordinator of the event. It is a great honour for Aitchison College to host the seventh edition of the National Junior Championship.
Aitchison Triumphs over Sadiq Public School
Our talented Aitchisonians showcased their sporting prowess against Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur, yet again. They played the annual sports fixture in Bahawalpur from the 24th of October to the 26th of October, 2024. Our boys played incredibly well and won the fixture. The following are the results:

Aitchison College Science and Engineering Concept - 2024
The Aitchison College Science Society proudly hosted the ninth edition of its flagship STEM Olympiad, ACSEC IX (Aitchison College Science and Engineering Concept), from October 24th to 26th, 2024. Over forty schools from across Pakistan participated, with delegates travelling from diverse regions, including Karachi, Peshawar, Haripur, and Bahawalpur. The event challenged participants across a broad spectrum of STEM disciplines, engaging them in tasks that ranged from dissecting frogs and launching rockets to extracting fingerprints.
Following three days of intense competition, where delegates showcased their academic and analytical expertise, the event concluded with a formal dinner and closing ceremony in the Amphitheatre. The winners were announced, marking the culmination of six months of dedicated effort by the ACSEC team, whose meticulous planning, coordination, and passion made ACSEC IX an unforgettable experience for all participants.
