Aitchisonians Power Through JC Lindsay Scottish Squash Tournament
The JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open is one of the most prestigious squash competitions in the world. This competition was held in December, Edinburgh, Scotland. This is a major competition on the junior calendar, attracting hundreds of top junior players from all over the world. It is a matter of immense pride for us all that one of our students, Sakhi Ullah Khan Tareen did extremely well. He breezed into the semi-finals, losing to Oliver Denver from New Zealand who was the eventual winner in the U/19 Category. It was a hard-fought match in which Sakhi Ullah Khan Tareen exhibited undying resilience and craftsmanship. He finally secured third place in the aforementioned category.
In the U/13 Category, our student Syed Muhammad Hussaim reached the quarter-final, but lost to Sohal Adnan from Pakistan. Sohal is the top seed in the category and was the ultimate winner. All appreciation to our boys, who displayed perpetual grit and technique by securing the 5th position in such a prestigious tournament. We wish our budding squash players the very best in their future endeavours.
