Screen Printing Workshop at Syedanwala School

On October 3, 2025, the Art & Design Department of Aitchison College, Prep School organised a Screen Printing Workshop for Syedanwala Girls and Boys School, located in Village Syedanwala, Rakh Dhala, Tehsil Kot Radha Kishen, District Kasur. The workshop was led by the Prep School Art Department, involving six girls from the Campus School for Girls and nine boys from M2. This impactful initiative aimed to extend learning beyond the classroom and empower underprivileged students through creativity, craftsmanship, and meaningful education.

The workshop aimed not only to introduce a creative and practical skill but also to demonstrate how art can serve as a pathway to independence and entrepreneurship, transforming imagination into opportunity. During the workshop, Syedanwala students:

  • Discovered the importance of printing as a medium of communication.
  • Learnt the basic process of screen printing on paper and fabric.
  • Understood how creative skills can be developed for income generation.
  • Gained confidence through hands-on participation and self-expression.
  • Experienced joy in learning a new art form and connecting creativity with purpose.

Our students learnt, led, and were inspired by developing:

  • Teamwork, communication, and leadership skills while guiding others.
  • Practised patience and responsibility through peer mentoring.
  • Experienced the joy of community service and giving back through art.
  • Strengthened their understanding of screen printing by teaching it to others.
  • Felt inspired by Syed Babar Ali’s vision of sharing knowledge and uplifting others through education and creativity.

The Prep School Art & Design Department remains devoted to nurturing empathy, creativity, and purpose—encouraging young learners to see art not just as artistic expression, but as a way of growth, connection, and positive change.
