Cambridge Examinations Update

Dear Parents

I appreciate that people are very concerned about whether Cambridge examinations will be held this year. I suggest that we get past the April 5 deadline before making any decision or commenting.  Cambridge sent an email to schools on Friday titled “Covid-19 Update for Schools” informing them of the option to withdraw candidates from the June 2020 examination series. The deadline mentioned by Cambridge to withdraw students is April 17 2020 (for O/IGCSE AS/A levels). The British Council deadline for school notification is April 10 to allow processing time ahead of possible changes. There is plenty of time before a decision has to be made. 

In the meantime, Aitchison College fully intends to hold examinations unless otherwise restricted by Government order.
