Aitchison is a school made remarkable by boys who engage in the broadest possible program with different interests and skills. The common ingredient is 'effort' and the willingness to grow through that experience. As we approach the 135th Founders' Day, I reflect on the resolve of boys demonstrated in the intensity and variety of an amended house and school sports schedule, the intelligence and scope of our online clubs and academic societies, and the talent of our senior actors who recently performed most brilliantly, A Raisin in the Sun -a Broadway classic from 1959. These and other endeavours characterise the positive mood of the school and the unflagging spirit of our boys.
As we reach toward the end of Term 2, we are thankful for improving conditions and a hopeful return to normal. While it is our intention to revert to a five-day teaching week from Term 3, final confirmation will be forthcoming during the Spring Break. In the meantime, Founders' Day (Academics and Sports) will be restricted to participants and their families, as per my previous detailed letter.
I wish all our families a safe and happy Spring Break.
